Educating the whole person
The Family-School Partnership
At ISN, we believe a child’s success is based on strong supports both at home and in school. Our Family-School Partnership model is designed to support the child’s overall performance through proactive family engagement. Families will be intimately familiar with their child’s academic, social-emotional, and spiritual progress throughout the entire year.
The Family-School Partnership model is implemented through:
Strong Communication Strategy
Semi-annual parent-teacher-student conferences
Weekly check-ins
Dedicated hours for communication with faculty
Translators provided when needed
Parent Teacher Association
Forum for parents to be heard
Allows parents and families to influence school culture
Proposals for major school events or courses
Regular Volunteer Involvement
Regular volunteer opportunities for parents during school hours
Lead or assist with extracurricular programs or electives
Conscious Curriculum

Engaging Curriculum
Our curriculum utilizes the latest instructional design to incorporate best practices in today's learning environment.
Interactive Lessons
Interactive lessons have never been easier. Graphics, videos, interactive quizzes, and animations are part of the instructional design that give students new ways to understand.
Captivating Course Activities
All course activities apply the principles of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Students analyze, evaluate, and apply content to create original work.
Project-Based Learning
Student-centered and transformative, project-based learning give students autonomy in their learning. PBL imparts active collaboration, communication, goal setting, and constructive investigation.
Spiritual Scholarship
ISN teaching methodologies are designed in collaboration with Islamic scholars to ensure all standards are aligned with teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
Reflective Assignments
Assignments and assessments encourage students to reflect, critically think, and find solutions.
Learning more than academics
Service Learning
We integrate community service (Khidmat) with an academic curriculum to teach community engagement, instill ISN’s core mission and values, and strengthen the child’s sense of self in the world.
Differentiated Learning
Our program is designed with diverse learners in mind. From in-classroom accommodations to support with family resources, we strive to provide the education that meets the needs to each student.
Social & Emotional Learning
Social-emotional learning is part of the student’s day to help your child learn to analyze, frame, weight, and categorize issues and ideas appropriately. We teach tools to help regulate, empathize, and have agency.
At the end of the day, our formula is simple.
